Our client has been designing, producing, and selling products in the areas of kitchen appliances, garden & living, sports and consumer electronics since 2005 and is now one of Europe’s largest digital companies including over 800 employees around the globe. We are in search of an experienced Senior Fullstack Engineer with an exceptional command over both frontend and backend development technologies

Responsibilities

As a pivotal member of our engineering cohort, you will be entrusted with the task of architecting, developing, and maintaining robust e-commerce solutions that embody excellence in user experience. This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to work on an evolving market with a direct impact on customers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (6+ years) as a Fullstack Engineer, with a strong focus on both frontend and backend development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement new features and functionalities.
  • Develop responsive web applications in frontend technologies including vanilla JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Ajax other JS libraries/plugins.
  • Proficiency in backend development using PHP frameworks like Laravel and Symphony, with experience in OXID shop system/similar ecommerce shop system is a plus.
  • Experience working on legacy PHP & frontend systems.
  • Experience with template engines: v6 of Oxid with Smarty and v7 with Twig
    is preferred but not limited to.
  • You like to think both as an architect and as a coder.
  • Experience with microservices/micro-frontend architecture and preferably carried out migrations from monolith to micro-frontend/microservices.
  • Optimize performance and ensure scalability of the e-commerce platform.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure seamless operation of
    our platform.
  • Adeptness in thriving within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiar with agile methodologies & scrum processes.
  • You have previously worked with gitlab, git, Jenkins, github actions & familiar with CI/CD pipeline optimisation & deployment workflows.
  • You are a clean code evangelist & leave the code better than it was found.
  • You are someone who loves to debug but also creates robust applications.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with OXID shops systems.
  • Experience in Vue.js / React.js, ERP system is a plus.
  • Knowledge on SQL databases.
  • E-commerce experience is a plus.
